HOW TO KNOW WHICH COURSE TO CHOOSE: Both courses posted below are approved for Full Specialist's, Nail Specialist's, Facial Specialist's and Cosmetologist. We offer two 16-hour continuing education course's because person's who have failed to maintain there license need to complete 32 hours of continuing education. If your license expires October 31, 2017 choose course #0007920 below on the left with the yellow buttons, you only need to complete one of the two 16-hour course's to earn all of the ce credits you need to renew. If your license expired in 2016 choose course #0007920 also, you only need one 16-hour course to renew your license, but because you are a year behind you will need to complete another 16-hour course again next year when you will be renewing your license again, or if you would rather complete both courses you can do that now. We'll send your report for both courses and next year when it is time to renew again you will have already completed your ce requirements. If your license expired in 2015 Florida law requires you to complete 16-hours of continuing education for each license renewal period. Completing your required continuing education two years late doesn't exempt you from the responsibility to complete 16 hours of continuing education for the period that you failed to renew. If your license expired in 2015 you need to complete 32 hours of continuing education to earn your required ce credits and prevent your license from becoming null and void. If your license expired in 2014 your license is null and void and it cannot be renewed. You can regain your license from a null and void status by applying for a new license. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PASS THIS COURSE: To pass this course you must pass the online quiz with a 75% score or better, that means you only need 27 correct answers out of the 35 true or false quiz questions. Florida law permits cosmetology continuing education to be "Open Book" meaning you are permitted to open the online quiz and answer the quiz questions before or while reading the course booklet. You don't pay until you pass so it is okay to give the online quiz a go, if you don't pass, it will not cost extra. How to repeat the quiz is explained in the quiz instructions found at the beginning of the quiz. Once you pass the online quiz you have passed the course and earned your credits. You will then pay after which you will print your certificate. When you pay we will send your electronic report to the state and then we will send you an email letting you know that we sent your electronic report. If you don't have a printer don't worry, you can complete the course now even if you don't have a printer. We include the link in the email that we send you so you can return and print your certificate when you can access a computer with a printer.

4-HOUR HIV/AIDS COURSE APPROVED TO MEET THE APPLICATION TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Earning the correct HIV/AIDS course certificate needed to satisfy the conditions for licensure and the Florida license application process requires the successful completion of a board approved 4-hour HIV/AIDS salon training course that the board approved specifically for satisfying the application training requirements. If a certificate of course completion is submitted to the state as part of an application for a license or registration that doesn�t come from an HIV/AIDS course the board approved for the application process it will be rejected and credit for completing the (unapproved for licensing) course will be denied. Processing of the application will be halted until a certificate is received that was earned by completing a 4-hour HIV/AIDS salon-training course approved by the board for the application process.


BOARD APPROVED HIV/AIDS COURSES REJECTED FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE LICENSE APPLICATION PROCESS
A common error is made when the certificate of course completion for a 16-hour continuing education program approved by the board for purposes of license renewal is submitted with an application for a license or registration. The error occurs by thinking the HIV/AIDS course contained in all 16-hour license renewal programs will meet the application requirement to complete an HIV/AIDS course and submit the certificate, because the state approved it and because it has an HIV/AIDS course contained within. This is incorrect thinking. This is not how it works and submitting a certificate for the completion of a program approved for license renewal does not meet license or registration application requirements. Consequently, in such an instance, processing of the application is halted pending a certificate be submitted from a 4-hour HIV/AIDS course approved by the board specifically for satisfying license or registration application requirements for HIV/AIDS training. Because the board approves HIV/AIDS salon training for purposes other than the application process, applicants should be aware that because a course covers HIV/AIDS and because the board approved the course that any board approved HIV/AIDS course is acceptable when applying to get a license. If this sounds confusing it is because it can be, which is why an explanation is being given here.
