2-HOUR HIV/AIDS COURSE APPROVED TO MEET THE FLORIDA LICENSE APPLICATION TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Earning the correct HIV/AIDS course certificate needed to satisfy the conditions for licensure and the Florida Barbers license application process requires the successful completion of a board approved 2-hour HIV/AIDS pre-licensure training course that the Barbers Board approved specifically for satisfying the license application training requirements. If a certificate of course completion is submitted to the state as part of an application for a license that doesn’t come from an HIV/AIDS course the board approved for the license application process it will be rejected and credit for completing the (unapproved for licensing) course will be denied. Processing of the application will be halted until a certificate is received that was earned by completing a 2-hour HIV/AIDS Barber training course approved by the Barbers Board for the application process.

YOU NEED THE CORRECT COURSE CERTIFICATE FOR A LICENSE APPLICATION
Because the board approves HIV/AIDS training for purposes other than the application process, applicants should be aware that because a course covers HIV/AIDS and because the board approved the course that any board approved HIV/AIDS course is acceptable when applying to get a license. If this sounds confusing it is because it can be, which is why an explanation is being given here. When applying for a Florida license it is a requirement of licensure that you complete a course approved by the board specifically to meet the requirements of the license application process. Course’s that are board approved for the purpose of license renewal, even if they cover the same subject matter, do not crossover and cannot be substituted for a course approved to meet license application requirements. Why? Because that is the way the state board orders it to be done. Moreover, the certificate that you earn by successfully completing a course has the purpose for which it was approved printed on the front. When you submit the certificate of course completion with your application packet the board examines the certificate to verify that you took a course that was approved for the license application process. If you submit a certificate from a course the board approved for license renewal with your application for a license, it will be rejected and processing of your license application will be halted until you provide a certificate the board approved to meet the education requirements when applying for a Florida license.
